FOX Registers "Days Of Future Past"
Update: IGN has confirmed from X-Men producer Bryan Singer, X-Men Days of Future Past!
According to Ain't It Cool News, FOX has registered the title "Days of Future Past", with the MPAA Title Registration Bureau. The report does not say if FOX plans to use this story line in the sequel to last years X-Men: First Class, but it makes sense considering how First Class ended.
At the end of First Class, the US government found out that mutants exist, and that some are a threat to humanity. How will the US government respond with this new unforeseen development? Will they just let the mutants go about their lives, fighting their own little wars? Let's take a look......(Warning Spoilers).......
"Days of Future Past", is a popular Marvel Comics storyline, that debuted in the The Uncanny X-Men issues #141 and #142, published in 1981. It is about a dystopian future where mutants are kept in concentration type camps by giant robots called Sentinals. The story focuses on two point of views, switching between the future and present. In the future, Kitty Pryde uses her mind to travel back in time to possess her own body, and fore-warn the X-Men of their impending doom. The way FOX has set up the tone in First Class, may cause some issues adapting this story.
Kitty Pryde was already in X-Men 3 and since FOX wants to make this series tie in to the older films, Kitty is much too young to appear in First Class 2.
Use Wolverine! He already made a cameo in First Class, so having him appear in the film is a no brainer. Getting Hugh Jackman to star would add a huge draw for the box office. Plus, it's an excellent opportunity to bring Wolverine into the First Class series. In "Days of Future Past", an aging Wolverine is fighting for survival, while protecting other mutants. Hugh Jackman is not getting any younger, which would allow him to play an older Wolverine and make sense.
This also gives FOX an opportunity to introduce new characters. They can steal a page from their own 1990's "X-Men Animated Series", and introduce Bishop. In the animated series, Bishop replaced Kitty Pryde in the story, and was the one who went back in time. Cable, a mutant from the future and son of Cyclops could also make sense to replace Kitty Pryde.
Bring in Fantastic Four! The sequel "Days of Future Present", follows Franklin Richards, the son of Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman. FOX wants to reboot Fantastic Four. This could be an ideal way to reboot a franchise, and allow the studio to follow Marvel Studio's crossover plan.
FOX could decide to start with, "Wolverine: Days Of Future Past." This story deals with the reason for the creation of the future universe, leading right into, "Uncanny X-Men" 141-142. This could be the main story for First Class 2, with part 3 closing it out.
Well FOX, you most defiantly have your work cut out for you. This is an opportunity to create the best X-Men movie possibly. With all the different was you can go, there really is no excuse why you can't make a great film.

Phoenix Saga Movie
When the original X-Men was released in 2000, it was clear that FOX and director Bryan Singer were going for a more realistic take on Marvel's premiere X-team. Unfortunately, this led to a very poor Phoenix/Dark Phoenix story line.
"The Phoenix Saga" is regarded as one of the greatest story arcs in comic book history. It deserves to be treated by Hollywood as such. Without getting to much into it, this story contains alien empires, wormholes, moon battles, and even the consumption of a star!
With the recent success of The Avengers, Marvel Studios has successfully established their expanded universe with the general audience. FOX no longer has to keep up with an ultra realistic tone in X-Men. Our beloved mutants can travel to other galaxies and battle aliens on the big screen.
Bringing the Phoenix back on the big screen would be a huge undertaking, and would require at least three movies to pull off. With its huge cast of characters and plot points, it would require a director that could handle an assemble cast. Joss Whedon has already proved with Avengers, that he could do it. I'm fairly confident that if FOX chose to make this story, Whedon would be honored to do it if asked. If there is one director in Hollywood that knows the importance of this amazing Saga, it would be Whedon.
There is no doubt that the Phoenix will see a rebirth (pun intended) on the big screen. That is, of course, if the studios are willing to do it proper.
In the words of Stan Lee "Have faith true believers!" 'Nuff said!

CBS Will Broadcast Major League Gaming On TV This Fall
Wait. What?!? Yes, it is true, CBS will broadcast Major League Gaming this fall. CBS Interactive Games, which has an exclusive partnership with MLG to sell advertising for its events, has gotten lots of attention while streaming MLG through Gamespot.
No date has been set to when this all might air, but this would certainty be a win-win for both parties. As well as establishing eSports as a creditable "sport".
Looks like I will have to start tuning into CBS.

Venom Movie Still On Track
With The Avengers movie making billions, it would make sense for other studios to follow Marvel's "Phase one" plan.
According to Hollywood.com, Producer Matt Tolmach said, "Look for the worlds [of The Amazing Spider-Man and Venom] to make sense with another." He said, "Hopefully, all these worlds will live together in peace someday."
Producer Avi Arad also mentioned which Venom character the movie will focus on. "It's an Eddie Brock story," said Arad, who was a producer on Venom's last big screen appearance, Spider-Man 3. "We want to be as close to the comics as possible. Especially in Eddie Brock's story. But again, pseudo-science is becoming science."
Chronicle director Josh Trank is still attached to direct Venom.
